Just wanted to share my experience of the day. I live in Tucson, AZ and today I went up to Phoenix, AZ to hopefully get a chance at winning tickets to UFC 104. Dana White made an announcement through Twitter he was going to give tickets out to people in LA, NY, Las Vegas, and Phoenix. So my buddies and I drove up around noon to be on the safe side. After killing time Dana finally tweets that he would be giving out tickets at a Mall. We drive over to the mall and run in to search for Dana.
We find him in a store that sells MMA-esque Apparel and we all get in line. He personally shook everyone’s hand and took photos. He even bought a bunch of shirts for some people and signed them. We all put our names down on a list for the tickets and he then told us he’d see us in LA.
For all the shit Dana may get. I was rather surprised at how nice and humble he was to all the fans. You don’t see Bob Arum, Vince McMahon, or Don King going out and showing their fans the appreciation like Dana did for me and many others today.
After we left my friend text me and said he just left. Which was about 2 1/2 hours after we had left.
UFC 104 will be my first UFC event and I couldn’t be more excited.
