Radio Party

June 2, 2008

Behold the newest edition of “THE MMARated Radio Show.” Guess what we’re talking about this week? Oh, I don’t know, maybe the most historic weekend in mixed martial arts history.

Predictably, many MMA pundits are hating on Elite XC and loving the WEC show. Personally, I liked them both because as the title of this show mentions, there was something for everyone. This sport is called mixed martial arts for a reason and that’s exactly what we got this weekend: a mixture of all kinds of MMA.

Enjoy the show and if you agree and/or disagree with my views I would love to hear your thoughts.

Also, I will be appearing on FOX Sports Radio 910 in Virginia at approx. 4:30 PM EST to discuss this historic weekend. Should be fun.

  1. One Response to “Radio Party”

  2. “The crowd was great.”

    Really?
You mean, the same crowd that booed during the Lawler fight?

The show on Sherdog blames that on the Youtube/Kimbo contingent who know little about MMA and have only eyes for Limbo.

You still sound a little giddy from the high of the night, I think you should go back and watch the tapes again.

Can you tell us if the state commission doctors check the fighters before they go in the ring?
How was Thompson’s ear NOT going to explode from a hit?
Its almost as if they wanted to keep themselves a get out of jail card handy in case things didnt go well.

Hats off to Thompson, he took quite a few shots. Either his chin isnt as weak as he was shown over the past while or Limbo’s punches arent as hard as advertised.
And if Slice has no punching power, what does he have?

Right now, it looks like Butterbean packs a meanser wallop than Slice.
