Here’s a little known fact: I made my pro wrestling debut in 2006.

The scene: TNA iMPACT! Zone in Orlando, Fla.

The opponent: Don Harris

The outcome: Helwani via KO (that part wasn’t caught on camera)

Strikeforce gearing up for April 11

Here are a couple of Strikeforce videos courtesy of Sho.com. Hey, why isn’t Joe Riggs in any of these?

By the way, is the Aprill 11 show still considered “the biggest in Strikeforce history”?

Anna Kournikova, John Cena on ‘Late Night with Jimmy Fallon’

I really disliked Jimmy Fallon when he was on Saturday Night Live. I wasn’t feeling the whole “I can’t stop laughing at my own jokes” routine. So, I didn’t expect to like him as Late Night host. Boy was I wrong.

I love his new show, “Late Night w/ Jimmy Fallon.” There’s just something about his nervous energy that is appealing.

Anyhow, back to sports. Jimmy played a little beer pong with former tennis “star” Anna Kournikova last night. Above is proof. Also, below is a portion of John Cena’s recent appearance on the show.

MMA Junkie Radio Appearance – 3/24

Since I am excited to back, I may post a little more than once or twice today. That will probably die down in a day or two.

Anyway, below is a link to my recent appearance on the brand new MMA Junkie Radio. My interview comes in at the 17 minute mark.

You can go home again

I am often asked (and by often I mean once, maybe twice) why I don’t update this site more often. I have never really had a good answer other than the fact that I wanted to focus my time and energy on projects that, you know, pay. But I have to admit that I miss the ol’ Park, so I have decided to re-open the joint. As of today, I will be posting here once, maybe twice a day for now. Hopefully that will grow in time. Nothing too in-depth, probably just a bunch of videos. It’s just nice having a place to post randomly.

Obviously, my passion is covering mixed martial arts, but believe it or not, I do love covering  all kinds of sports. So while I will be focusing a lot of time and energy on MMA, please excuse the random basketball, hockey or Montreal Expos post. Cool? Cool.

We’ll be putting a brand new coat of paint on this place to signify this new era so stay tuned for that, too. Plus, I will be providing some JP exclusive videos in the near future. I feel good about this.

To kick things off, I want to share what is perhaps my favorite sports moment of all-time: Game 7 of the 1994 Eastern Conference Finals. New York Knicks vs. Indiana Pacers. I think this may have been one of the happiest moments of my childhood. Action begins at the 1:14 mark.

Back To Work

It took a little longer than I had hoped, but I am finally back. As of today, I will be spending most of my time at Versus.com as their new MMA writer/blogger. We have some great things planned for the future, so definitely update your bookmarks.

As most of you know, I have been keeping busy since things went a little sour in November, but I am absolutely thrilled to be resuming my MMA reporting career. Personally, I can’t think of a better place to do so than Versus.com.

In case you are wondering, we won’t just be covering World Extreme Cagefighting action over there. No, we will be covering the entire world of mixed martial arts, too. My first article is up and can be found here. I will have at least one article up every day so keep us in the mix.

How’s taste being employed? Pretty damn good.
