Listening to Tito masturbate over his own legend is always disturbing. I guess the idea was to try to get one of “Elite, Affliction or Strikeforce” to put up an offer while he was in recovery in hopes that the UFC would match it. How’s that going Tito? It was recycled Tito cliches at its worst but he redeeemed himself with a last second Dona White slam.

Royce Gracie is a legend. Nothing he can do now can take away what he has accomplished but personality has never been his strongest quality. I’ve seen great legends like Wayne Gretzky, Mario Lemieux that have very little to bring to a conversation apart from recycled speech patterns so its not a exactly a shock that this wont rank as a great interview. Hoyce’s never are. And then you can still go and call all your little friends on Skype (the original guys who made 3 billion dollars selling it want to rebuy it from ebay) and tell them: “I got to talk to Hoyce Gracie today!” Cause that’s pretty fucking cool too.

Could it live up to its expections?
Oh yes, it was all we hoped it could be in its genial insanity. We might have smoked one or two in Nick’s honour… ok, first of all, watching Nick’s wandering eye during the beginning of the interview on the big ass tv we plugged a laptop into is kinda creepy. That’s some serious ass ADD.
Then, credit to Ariel for knowing when to shut up and just let Nick “Flow with the go”. Credit also to Ariel for asking him the question point blank,”Do you regret anything?” Much Carlos Gracies loving later, we even got served with an encore with the direction’s to his dojo (Free parking?). I also liked the original inring interview after the fight when Nick gave the 7h30pm class weekday schedules… maybe someone should teach Nick to say http://www.nickdiaz.tv and get the damn site back online soon?

I expect any day now an Eddie Bravo/Nick Diaz softpotcore spread like Eddie did with Rogan.

I also expect Nick to smoke a lot weed now that the fight is over and run a lot of triathlons and wear the fucking gi a lot too. Throw in Jessica Biel or Jessica Alba in there too and that’s a pretty sweet life.
