Dwight Howard is a beast. I’m not sure if it was one of the best dunk contests ever but it surely was one of the most enjoyable to watch. I wish they would have more contestants though. And, yes, it would be great to see Iggy make a return. He did get robbed…

Let me be the first (or second) to say I would like to see Pavlik v. Bute next (as long as Bute defeats Joppy in a couple of weeks). I think that would be a better fight than Pavlik v. Duddy and I’m not just saying that because he is from Montreal.

I am now more interested in seeing Jermain fight again than I was after any of his big wins against Hopkins or Winky. All things considered, his camp should be very pleased.

I managed to catch Pavlik/Taylor 2 and the slam dunk contest on saturday night. With an early morning youtube dose of Kimbo/Tank.

Pavlik/Taylor 2 was a real tactical battle. Pavlik really showcased his boxing skills that night peppering Taylor all night long with Jabs. Although Taylor lost he proved his worth out there that night. I think if he was more active than his little bursts of fury he could’ve eeked out a decision. Taylor’s jab was landing the first three rounds and he kind of stopped throwing it out there. Good fight though. I think Jermain still has a career ahead of him.

Please Bob Arum. Do not sign Pavlik/Trinidad. As much as I believe that fight would help raise the Ghost’s stock. I’d much rather see a Duddy fight. But I guess The Ghost does deserve a tune up fight for whenever he fights Arthur Abraham later in the year.

The Slam Dunk Contest is back? Dwight Howard threw it down and so did Gerald Green. I think if Green would’ve kept his first round dunks for the finals he could’ve made it real close. I hope that more players will compete in the Dunk Contest next year. They need to bring out some high risers. Lets get my hometown Arizona Wildcat Alum Igoudala back in there to get the title he got robbed from him.

All in all a great weekend for sports.

I found that to be kind of strange as well. I think he owns a part of the “company.” It’s funny seeing Bas Rutten wear their shirt too.

What blows my mind about Showtime and Elite is allowing Kimbo to be sponsored by Reality Kings and letting Kimbo wear and promote them on TV.

Mauro Ranallo is the play-by-play man. He’s also Canadian which is always a plus for me.

Quadros is the skinny guy to his right (your left) and Goldberg is the big guy with the shaved head to his left (your right).

I’m not sure who Mauro is, but one of the guys just annoys the hell out of me. I’m not sure if it’s his looks or what. Something about the guy just gets under my skin. I dunno, maybe its just me.

Mauro is the best there is – you can’t deny that. Golderg…well, he did pack the Georgia Dome.

And Quadros…well, um, yeah. He seems like a nice guy.

I agree that the fights are good. Thats why I’m not sure why they have these lame dancing girls. It’s very annoying. Then again, Im not sure whats more annoying. The commentating or the dancing girls.

You think? I actually feel like their fights usually deliver and that’s what makes all the other annoying details even more irritating.
