kurt angle is the biggest steroid user out there. he is a chris benoit in the making. i just hope that dana white makes curt take random roid tests before he converts. he was kicked out of wwe and his relationship with tna isnt the best. it wouldnt suprise me if curt windes up without a job and crawling to dana for a job. roid use is cheating

Oh and yes I do think TNA has tried and will continue to try and sign Sapp. However, he may be a tad too expensive for them. Also, according to The Observer WWE is still very interested in him.

As for the supposed BS…I think this is the most honest Kurt has ever been in an interview while discussing the subject of MMA.

I am actually surprised that wrestling organizations don’t try and go after more amateur stars. Seems like it would be a natural fit.

As for Karam, the man is jacked and has a great look. I have never heard him on the mic though. Is he good? Can he speak English fluently? Even if he doesn’t speak that well I can’t imagine someone not wanting to give him a shot. Perhaps he isn’t interested in pro wrestling. As you mentioned, he did have a rough debut in MMA but I would be surprised if he quit after one loss.

Do you think TNA will try again to sign Sapp, being that Pro’s vs. Joe’s has both Sapp and Kurt as Pro’s for the upcoming season? I agree that Barnett would be a risk for TNA. I’m a huge TNA fan, nevertheless the keep blowing some great opprotunities.

I have another question what are your thoughts on Karam Gaber as a pro wrestler? I believe he would be great with the proper training. I do realize he had a poor performance in his first and only MMA fight. However, I think he has tremendous charisma to be a pro wrestler.

TNA has actually tried to go that shoot-fighter route by attempting to sign the likes of Bob Sapp, Daniel Puder and Shamrock (remember Shamrock was the first ever TNA champ so he does have a history there).

Unfortunately for them, all those deals fell through. Anyhow, I think they missed the boat with those story lines. It would have been fresh when he first came to TNA but not as much today.

Barnett would be interesting though but I doubt they have enough funds to match his offer. Plus, he doesn’t have much name value in the US.

Great interview, It was good that Kurt finally had a chance to respond to many false rumors. Myself I hope Kurt stays in TNA and continues to help that company grow. Maybe TNA will sign some guys like Bob Sapp, Josh Barnett, Karam Gaber and even Ken Shamrock for Kurt to have some matches with. I believe a series of matches with any of these guys would benefit TNA tremendously. Here’s an option for Kurt. If all these Shamrock types think their so bad. Then arrange a shoot wrestling match in TNA. Let them follow rules that Kurt’s use to. I really don’t think they would have a chance playing Kurt’s game. I don’t think Shamrock would begin to have the guts to take Kurt on in a amatuer style match. However, Kurt is more than wiiling given enough time to take on Shamrock at his game. I also think TNA should give Kurt the assignment of recruiting guys like Karam Gaber and Rulon Gardner to TNA. Imagine three gold medal winners on one show.
