Great site.

As a Dodger fan, I have to ask if you remember Oct. 19, 1981, aka "Blue Monday"?

I was there as a kid in the early 70s' even though I didnt care for the game. Even have a mini-baseball bat somewhere in the attic from something called the Intercontinental Baseball Cup in 1975 (Scott Sanderson played for the yanks).

I was there in 81 for Blue Monday and for even for the last game ever but since they didnt have any more cheap seats, i didnt feel like giving Loria any more money and we went to get pizza instead.

Jarry Park was the scene of some amazing complex and its soccer fields some of the best semi-pro soccer player in the 60's and 70's in front of thousands of fans.

Its name is now synonymous with the the two week tennis fest for yuppies but for those who grew up in Montreal, it still means more than that.

No idea if others care nor should care but this defenitely made me smile.

What I would do to live in that era...listening to Scully calling an Expos game? I can't think of anything more spectacular

Listening to Dodger broadcasts back in LA in the early 70's I always wanted to go see a game at Jarry (as I kid I thought it was "Jerry") Park. To me, listening to Vin Scully calling the play-by-play and visualing in my minds eye his descriptions of Garvey swinging through a Steve Rodger's fastball, or Ken Singleton chasing down one of Cey's deep drives, and listening to Scully describe the park, he made it sound like such a great place to catch a ball game.

The irony is now I'm here in DC and Expo's are now the Nat's, and while it's great to have National League baseball in town, I know the pain of losing your team (Rams) and wish that Montreal could kept their Expos.

We are proud to be one of your sponsors- keep up the great work. If you could arrange a showdown between a senior partner here and Kimbo- we would be proud to sponsor that as well!
